Olana is the home, studio, and landscape envisioned by one of America's greatest artists, Frederic Church. Perched on a hilltop overlooking the Hudson River, the site is a National Historic Landmark, and a remarkably preserved artistic vision. In the mid-19th century, Church achieved great success and fame as an American artist. This trip is in celebration of the 200th anniversary of Church's birth. 
 
Although normally closed to the public on Mondays, Olana is making an exception for the Florence Griswold Museum. Participants will enjoy a welcome and boxed lunch in the Frederic Church Center for Art and Landscape, their new visitor center, before enjoying VIP tours of the landscape, house, and studio. We will also have time to tour the special exhibition Frederic Church: Global Artist that reveals Church’s art, extensive collections, and striking architecture of his home, were informed by places he visited around the world.
